My Practice – Felixstowe Counselling

I offer private and confidential counselling to individuals over the age of 16. I normally work with clients for between 6 and 13 sessions before they reach their desired outcomes for therapy, although occasionally, some clients require up to 20 sessions or longer, depending on the issue/s they would like to work through.  I have counselling rooms in Felixstowe and Ipswich, making me accessible to many Suffolk locations. My counselling room in Felixstowe has free parking available.

  • I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
  • I offer individual counselling to people over the age of 16.
  • All counselling sessions are face to face and last for 50 minutes.
  • Sessions are to take place once weekly, ideally, the same day and time each week, although there may be times when I can offer some flexibility.
  • Counselling work can be short or long term and you are under no obligation to continue counselling work. There is no limit to the number of sessions you can have.
  • I aim to make this a service with no waiting lists and to offer appointments within a week of making contact. I am aware that this may still feel like a long time.
  • If you are in need of immediate support, a 24 hour helpline is provided by The Samaritans on    08457 90 90 90
  • Sessions are confidential. As your counsellor, I will seek to protect and respect your personal information. Exceptions to this are if I have concerns about yours or another’s safety, or if a serious, recent and unreported crime has been committed.
  • I receive professional supervision with an accredited counsellor and supervisor to ensure I am working safely, ethically and legally.
  • Fees are made payable to myself during each session or in advance by bank transfer.
  • I charge £40 for each session.
